Microwave oven

Microwave ovens use microwave radiation, a form of electromagnetic radiation with a frequency of about 2.45 GHz, to heat food. Microwaves are absorbed by water molecules in food. As the water molecules absorb microwave energy, they vibrate rapidly, generating heat. This heat is then transferred to the surrounding food.
